What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is their large yearly sale that is shopped in tiers. The sale runs from July 12th through August 8th. Depending on whether or not you have a Nordstrom credit card and how much you spend at Nordstrom in a year determines at what point you get to shop the sale. Frusteratingly for a lot of people the item you have your eye on could potentially be sold out by the time you are able to shop the sale.
What are the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Levels?
- Icon Status – Spend $15,000 yearly on a Nordstrom Credit Card. Can begin shopping the sale July 12th.
- Ambassador Status – Spend $5,000 yearly. Do not have to have a Nordstrom Credit Card. You can join the Nordy Club for free. Can begin shopping the sale July 14th.
- Influencer Status – Spend $500 yearly. Do not have to have a Nordstrom Credit Card but if you open one you automatically start at this level. Can begin shopping the sale July 16th.
- Member Status/General Public – Can begin shopping the sale July 28th.
Can you shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early without a Nordstrom Credit Card?
The answer is technically yes. You wouldn’t necessarily be able to do it this year if you are not already a Nordy Club member but if you are someone who shops at Nordstrom regularly it would be worth it to join the Nordy Club for free because after $500 spent yearly you will have Influencer status and be able to shop the sale on the 3rd tier which is still a full 12 days before the general public get’s to shop.
My Thoughts
I think shopping sales are great especially when there are larger or more expensive items you have your eye on. I’ve been eyeing the Olaplex system for awhile and I keep waiting for the right time to purchase! Also I’ve been fortunate enough to try some more expensive skin care products for free that I would love to purchase but I will wait until they are on sale and within my budget and not pay full price. Even just in general we try to shop sales when we are adding to the family’s wardrobe.
Because of my previous history and issues with debt I never recommend having store credit cards but if you are someone who already has one and/or are able to handle them responsibly by paying them off immediately or at the end of each month before any interest charges are accrued then by all means take the advantages of shopping the sale early! Obviously the levels, sense of urgency, and buzz created by bloggers and influencers is large part of Nordstrom’s marketing plan but I always try to remind myself there will always be another sale or I can save up for the item that I want. Remember you are not saving money if it wasn’t in your budget no matter how big the discount is!!

My Top Items
Kut from the Kloth jeans – I first got a pair of these in one of my stich fix boxes and I loved them. Most of the styles I have shown here are around $30 off during the sale!
Spanx – I have always wanted to try the Spanx leggins and they are going to be over $30 off during the sale!
Jewelry

Most of the jewelry is anywhere from $20 to $100 or more off depending how expensive the item was to begin with. Most of what I have listed are affordable earrings in the style that I personally love. A few items are on the more expensive side but were so pretty and a nice discount so I added those as well. It’s always nice to have a few higher quality jewelry peices in your collection!

Olaplex Bond Maintenance Hair Care Set – I have been wanting to try these products so bad so I may snag this set during the sale! Full size Shampoo and Conditioner plus a Jumbo Size No. 3 Hair Perfector. $126 value on sale for $84.
T3 Luxe Brush Set – $99 value on sale for $67

I am glad a lot of these sets also have travel size treatments in them. That would help me keep up with my routine while on vacation. So that is one less thing to worry about.
