How BoxyCharm works
BoxyCharm is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box that contains five full-sized beauty products every month. In addition, you can set up a recurring payment schedule for either month to month, three months, six months, or 12 months.
How much is BoxyCharm a month
BoxyCharm Base box is 27.99 per month plus any applicable taxes and shipping fees. Shipping for anywhere within the contiguous US is free. BoxyCharm Luxe is a quarterly upgrade to the BoxyCharm Subscription and becomes available in March, June, September, and December. The Luxe box includes eight beauty and lifestyle items for $59.99. BoxyCharm premium is the newest subscription option and includes six full-size beauty products for $39.99 a month.
Can you customize BoxyCharm?
BoxyCharm is not fully customizable, but once a month, they open a Choice window where you may choose one item for the next month’s box while supplies last. So, for example, you will get to choose two things for the Luxe box. With your membership, you also have the opportunity to earn charms that can be redeemed for products and member-exclusive deals to purchase products.
Why is BoxyCharm so cheap?
BoxyCharm can buy the products in bulk which drives down costs. BoxyCharm is also taking the marketing out for each product, which will also reduce the cost. Also, if an item is exclusive to that subscription box, the company can choose whatever ‘retail’ cost they want for perceived value. In my opinion, it is also a benefit to the company whose products are in the box as it gets their product into the hands of many consumers in the hope that they will become loyal customers and repurchase the product.
Is BoxyCharm worth it?
In my opinion, BoxyCharm can be well worth it, especially if you are looking to build up your makeup and beauty collection with quality products without spending all of your money. These can be great for people just starting with makeup and skincare products, aspiring makeup artists, or even if you want to give items away as gifts. I took a break from BoxyCharm only because I didn’t want to waste products, and I had a fair amount building up that I needed to use up. But I still highly recommend it!
Where does BoxyCharm get its products?
BoxyCharm gets most of its products in bulk from the companies that it promotes in its boxes. This is because makeup and skincare products can be substantially cheaper when purchased in bulk.
When does BoxyCharm Ship?
Your BoxyCharm box will typically ship out within 15 days from the date of purchase. Pre-paid boxes begin processing on the 1st of each new month. Because the boxes are shipped in batches, your tracking email may come at various times each month.
Can you give BoxyCharm as a gift?
You definitely can give BoxyCharm as a gift. If you are already a BoxyCharm subscriber, you must set up a new account for the gift subscription. Make sure you enter the shipping address for the gift recipient. If you plan to send more than one box to that person, choose how often you would like to get charged. If you only want to send one box, don’t forget to cancel the Subscription so you don’t continue to get charged.
How to get free BoxyCharm
I know some referral programs allow you to earn free boxes when you refer people, and they sign up through your link. However, I can only find on the website that if you refer someone, you earn 500 charms to be used in the Charm store. From what I can tell, 500 charms are equivalent to $5. Unfortunately, because I am not an active subscriber, I cannot view the Charm store, and I don’t know if that $5 can be used towards your boxes or only on other products.
Can you pause BoxyCharm?
As far as I can tell, it is not possible to pause your BoxyCharm Subscription, you would have to cancel it, but then you can restart it at any time.
How to Cancel BoxyCharm
You can easily cancel your BoxyCharm box by going to My Account on the website and clicking Account Overview. When you click on the current Subscription, you should have the option to click Cancel Subscription. You should receive an email to confirm that it was canceled. Thankfully no annoying phone calls with customer service where they try to talk you out of canceling. You can log into your account, go to the same area, and click Reactivate under whichever Subscription you want.

Skincare
Firstly in the box, we have the Glamglow Gentlebubble Cleanser. It is a conditioning gel cleanser that gently removes makeup and impurities, and it’s also vegan, fragrance-free, and suitable for all skin types. I am excited to try it! MSRP is $28.
Face
Secondly, I got the Alamar Colorete Blush Trio in Fair/light. This very pretty blush set includes three beautiful shades. Castaway is an orange creamsicle shade with a lovely shimmer to it. The Paraiso is a beige-toned neutral pink and is excellent for all skin tones. Scorcher is a gorgeous shimmer mixture of pink, peach, and gold. I’m obsessed with it and excited to add it to my collection! MSRP is $22.00
Lips
The Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade Stone is next on the list. Typically I don’t wear matte lipstick. I was very excited to try this one! The shade was perfect on me and did not dry my lips too much. It lasted a long time and did not flake off throughout the day. MSRP is $18.00
Eyes
The Ciate London Eye Luster Creme Eyeshadow in the shade Cupid was next. I love all things shimmery, and I love creme eye shadow. This shimmery rose gold shade can be used in a variety of ways. MSRP is $22.00.
In addition, the Bodyography Eyeliner Pencil in Emerald rounds out the box. This eyeliner goes on very smoothly and is a beautiful shade of green. Trying out different colors is undoubtedly always fun! MSRP is $14.00
Overall the May Boxy Charm box was a hit; I recommend it! The suggested retail price for everything in the box is $104.00. However, for $27.99, it was well worth it. Boxy Charm Subscription Box is worth a try!
