How to Make Spiced Cider
Easy Spiced Cider Recipe
Equipment
- Large pot
Ingredients
- 3 quarts apple cider
- 10 whole allspice
- 10 whole cinnamon sticks
- 12 whole cloves
- 3 small peices of fresh ginger or 1 Tbsp candied ginger
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Pour cider into a large pot.
- Set sugar aside. Add all spices whole into the pot.
- Bring all ingredients except sugar to a boil.
- Stir in sugar and simmer 15 minutes.
- Strain and serve hot.
Even though I absolutely love summer and always feel a little sad when it’s ending there are still so many things I love about fall. There are pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and corn mazes. I also love the cozy fall recipes I remember from childhood. It gives me a good dose of nostalgia and the tastes and smells make fall feel like such a cozy time with loved ones. This easy spiced cider recipe is on of those recipes that I’ve always loved and reminds me of fall.
I don’t know about you but when I think about fall I think of hot apple cider, pumpkin bread and pretty much anything that smells like cinnamon and pumpking pie spices! This easy spiced cider recipe in one my mom used to let simmer on the stove. It made the entire house smell amazing. Better than any candle or dried potpourri you can find!
